Late Prof. Dr. A.D. Shinde
VPIMSR , Sangli was founded in 1984 by the late Prof. Dr. A.D. Shinde, a well-known management visionary, consultant, and chartered accountant, whose vision and goal was to provide professional management and I.T. education to students from rural areas and towns. The institute is located on the border of south Maharashtra and north Karnataka, and it receives a large number of students who want assistance with communication, professional, and developmental abilities.
In keeping with its vision and mission, the Institute has worked hard for the past 30 years to satisfy these requirements. The Institute began operations in June of 1984 with a single MBA programme with 80 students, 10 lecturers, and three hired classrooms.
Today, we serve almost 750 students through nine courses; two distance management education programmes (IGNOU and Shivaji University, Kolhapur); 28 dedicated teaching staff; and 14 non-teaching staff, all located in a 7000 sq. mtr. building on 13.5 acres of property we own on Sangli-Miraj road. We are dedicated to excelling in the fields of commerce, management, and information technology education by moulding students from all kinds of backgrounds and enhancing their skills to meet the challenges of a dynamic economic and business environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure and competent faculty.
